Sunday 7 March
A comedy night is being held at Manchester's Jabez Clegg, 2 Portsmouth Street, Manchester, M13 9GB by students of Manchester Metropolitan University. A group of enthusiastic Event Management students from MMU have been given the task to organise and produce a fundraising event for Macmillan Cancer Support as part of their course. Friday 26th March
We The Macmillan Cancer Support Committee are holding a Race Night at The Peel Park Pub on Turkey Street ,Accrington. The Burnley Lions are running the event for us. Time 7-00pm for 7-30pm.Tickets are £3.00. To include a Potato Pie Supper. We have some really great Prizes. This event is being run in Memory of our Chairman Barbara Donohoe who recently died from Cancer. We would very much appreciate any publicity you can give us for this event to help us raise money for this worthy cause.Which can affect anyone. Macmillan Easter coffee morning on Saturday 27th March
10 am - 12.30 pm at Trinity Methodist Church, Gregson Lane Hoghton, Preston PR5 0ED. Lots of fun things to do including: an Easter trail around the village, pick a lolly, name the teddy, a raffle, Jirah woman jewellery and gift stall, make a Easter basket, decorate an egg competition, rereshments, hot cross buns, cake stall and many more things to do.
Two Cities Boat Race: Saturday 8th May 2010
In 2010 Macmillan have been chosen as the Charity of the official Two Cities Boat Race. This is an annual race between the two universities taking place on Salford Quays. After the main race other boats will take part adding to the fun on the day! We need around 30 collectors who can collect for a couple of hours between approx. 9.30 and 2.30pm on the day.
Great Manchester Run: Sunday 16th May 2010
Macmillan have a team of runners taking part in the 10k run around the streets of Manchester. There are two ways that we are looking for your help for the Great Manchester Run. If you already have a place in the run yourself then why not run for Team Macmillan? We support you before and during your run and your money goes to help people affected by cancer.
If the actual run is not your thing then why not join us at one of our cheering points? We have dedicated cheering points along the route to keep our runners going through the hard slog!
Macmillan Ball & Auction, 16th October 2010, at Alton Towers in the Stateroom. A hot buffet & entertainment throughout the night. D.J / Band, Auction & Raffle. This will be an extravaganza of socialising and dancing the night away - whilst at the same time, helping to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support in the Macclesfield area.
